MARC Commences Revision of Mediation Rules to Enhance Dispute Resolution Services

The Mediation and Arbitration Center (Mauritius) LtdĀ (MARC) is proud to announce the commencement of the revision process of its Mediation Rules. This strategic revision represents an important advancement in MARC’s continuous commitment to providing world-class mediation and dispute resolution services.

Recognising the evolving landscape of dispute resolution and the importance of clear, efficient, and innovative mediation processes, MARC has established a dedicated drafting committee composed of internationally recognised experts:

  • Tomoko Ishikawa– Professor at Graduate School of International Development, Nagoya University, Japan and renowned academic in international dispute resolution.
  • Rajesh Sharma– Associate Professor, RMIT University,Ā Australia and expert in international arbitration and mediation practices.
  • Colin Manning– Barrister-at Law at 4-5 Gray’s Inn Square, UK and accredited mediator since 1997.Ā He has conducted several hundred mediations.
  • Alexis Merle– Barrister-at Law andĀ Registrar of MARC, with extensive experience in mediation and arbitration administration.

This distinguished committee will leverage their collective expertise to ensure MARC’s Mediation Rules align with international best practices, reflect contemporary mediation principles, and effectively meet the evolving needs of businesses and individuals.

Through this revision, MARC aims to enhance transparency, efficiency, and accessibility within its mediation processes, reinforcing its commitment to excellence in dispute resolution.

Further updates will be provided as the drafting committee progresses with their work.

MARC remains dedicated to facilitating effective, efficient, and innovative dispute resolution solutions, continuing to support business growth and stability in the region and beyond.
